The big news up here is the weather--winter is not over yet!  More snowfall this week and again today.  Just a few days we were enjoying sunny, warm days, then bam!  Back came the cold and snow...We are recovering from colds and just hanging on for warmer temperatures!  Updates on the family:  Maddie's visit to our family doctor (Dr. Kevin Duke in Providence) today resulted in the expected increased dose in her Armour thyroid medicine. We hope she will return quickly to the improved health she enjoyed initially a month ago when she started on Armour.  Dr. Duke speculates she will probably need another increase in 4 wks. when he will see her again.   Maddie enjoyed participating recently in an Honor Choir concert at Kent Hall on campus @ Utah State, and we had a great time watching!  Cami greets each day with gusto and can't wait to get out in the snow!  Cami was happily surprised to see Dad make it into her classroom to read for "Donuts for Dads"...they both had forgotten and luckily Dad turned around and went back to the school when he saw Dads and kids walking in together!  Miles is finally starting work at a new take-out place and had a great time at Bear Lake last week with his new friends and at a dutch oven dinner/dodgeball last night.  Tonite he's going country dancing with some friends--his social life definitely runs circles around the rest of the family!  Simona is in charge of her family home evening group and has responsibility for compassionate service among the sisters in her young adult ward.  She keeps up with her library shelving job and has kept us all in books during these cold winter months.  She keeps us up-to-date on the latest results of Dancing w/the Stars and American Idol.   I am enjoying learning my job and getting to know new friends.  I am WIDE open to any Young Women camp ideas you might have!    I still enjoy cooking and had fun doing a cooking demonstration for the local chapter of the Logan Gluten Intolerant Group last week at Macey's grocery store little theater.  I demonstrated Chicken/Asparagus/Spinach salad--I can't tell you how nervous I was right before I went on!  Lou proudly announces he still has 10 teams in the sweet 16 as of today.  On the work front, he has bid on several positions at Schreiber, and continues to anxiously wait each day to find out his schedule.  Cleaning carpet yesterday left him sore and feeling out of shape--thank goodness for Miles to spell him off!  

Family Update

A lot has happened since the last time we blogged. Namely:
1. Miles graduated from high school and is now working in Jackson Hole
2. We moved to Utah

Simona

Simona is attending school at Solano Community College. ��She just got her transcripts back from her last semester and she got a 3.6 gpa, which brought her cummulative gpa up to 2.9! ��She is teaching piano to 4 students, soon to be 5 hopefully. ��She is enjoying her new semester at school and hopes that it will end up as good as the last one. ��After summer semester, she will be transferring to a 4-year university where she hopes to get a degree in Early Childhood Education.

After years of time on the bass drum and cymbals, Miles has finally gotten his shot at playing the snare drum. ��He enjoyed his marching band season, where his band did very well in all aspects of the competition including marching, drumline, and field show. ��He is now looking forward to the winter percussion season with a show themed of the SpiderMan Theme song ont he movies. ��Really stirring...! ��He is in his senior year and can hardly wait to graduate. ��We are all looking forward to that time.
